What are TBI or Traumatic Brain Injury Symptoms?

A traumatic brain injury (TBI) can result in many forms such as a blow to the head, a motor vehicle accident, or a whiplash. It disrupts the normal function of the brain and may cause problems with balance, spatial orientation, visual motor skills, and cognitive function. This can happen to anyone at any given moment.

Do you or anyone you know experience any of the following symptoms?

  • Blurred or double vision
  • Inability to concentrate or maintain focus
  • Feelings of disorientation or dizziness
  • Light sensitivity
  • Problems with spatial and depth perception
  • Impaired balance and headaches
  • Visual field loss
  • Stationary objects that seem to be moving

If so, call our office today or schedule an appointment for a full comprehensive eye exam. Many of these symptoms can be treated effectively with vision therapy and/or different lens prescriptions in conjunction with prisms lenses. Feel free to visit brainline.org for more information about traumatic brain injuries and how to prevent, treat, and live with a traumatic brain injury.
